Unique 17th century cabinet portrait and scallop


Unique cabinet that’s probably made in France.
Beautiful portrait of a man with a feather in his had,
below that a panel with a scallop shell.
Please take a good look at the photo’s for the condition, traces of woodworm throughout.
The cabinet is stable, the construction is good.

Amsterdam School Arts and Crafts Tea Cabinet Dutch Colonial


Extremely rare tea cabinet of which only 1 was probably made.
Made under the influence of the Indonesian colonial era in the surrounding of the Amsterdam school.
The cabinet has suffered some damage from the fragile woodwork of the legs.
1 Hind leg has a fracture but is still stable, see the photos for details.

18th c. English Oak Dresser Base / Sideboard


18th century English side table / dresser made of oak with a very nice deep dark patina.
The furniture has some (very) old restorations as you can see in the photos.
Three drawers, 1 with a lock and this one works.
Antiques in a modern interior can give a beautiful and surprising effect to the interior. The combination of clean, straight lines with the warm feeling of an antique piece of furniture is exciting and playful.

Rare Small 17th century Dutch (Nursery) Cushion cabinet Oak White painted

This model cabinet was called ‘Tafelkast’ (table cabinet) in the Netherlands because the base resembles the Dutch Renaissance and early Baroque tables. Cabinets of this type are usually manufactured in larger dimensions. This rare type of cabinet is much smaller and specifically designed for the rooms of newborn children of wealthy or noble families. For that reason they are called ‘Kraamkamerkast’, or ‘Luyermand’s cabinet’. in earlier times. This beautiful cabinet was intended for storing linen and other baby supplies.

This cabinet has 2 parts, an upper part and a lower part.
Made of solid oak.
The cabinet has had several repairs and replacements over the centuries, the chassis is somewhat unstable but this is not a problem with normal use.

The wall cabinet is 99 cm wide, 65 cm deep and 93 cm high.
