Ronde eiken bijzettafel – Amsterdamse School-stijl, jaren 20–30
Ronde eiken bijzettafel in Amsterdamse School-stijl, jaren 20–30
Afmetingen: diameter blad 50 cm, hoogte 65 cm
Materiaal: eikenhout (kwartiergezaagd), zwart gekleurde ornamenten en voetjes
Stijl: Amsterdamse School / Nederlandse art deco
Periode: jaren 20–30
Herkomst: vermoedelijk Nederland
Conditie: goede, gebruikte staat.

English description
Round oak side table – Amsterdam School style, 1920s–30s
A characterful round side table (wine table, plant table or Art Deco side table) in oak, in the style of the Amsterdam School. The round top rests on four sturdy square legs joined at the bottom by a cross stretcher. At the foot of each leg is a black, stepped ornament – the typical architectural motif of Dutch Art Deco – with small black foot blocks. The oak is quarter-sawn, so the characteristic medullary rays (flame figure) in the wood are clearly visible.
Why we chose this piece
In a small format, this table shows exactly what the Amsterdam School is about: robust, architectural forms, honest oak and the play of light wood against black accents. The stepped ornaments at the feet make it more than a simple side table. It is unsigned and the maker is unknown.
Style and interior
Lovely next to an armchair or sofa, as a plant table by the window or as a bedside table. A natural fit for an Art Deco or Amsterdam School interior, but also in a rustic, classic or eclectic interior with old woods.
Dimensions: diameter of top 50 cm, height 65 cm
Material: oak (quarter-sawn), black-coloured ornaments and feet
Style: Amsterdam School / Dutch Art Deco
Period: 1920s–30s
Origin: probably the Netherlands
Condition: good, used condition. The top has lighter patches, a few rings and wear to the finish. The base, ornaments and feet show light signs of use.
