Grote ronde grenen driepoottafel in de trant van een cricket table
Een royale ronde driepoottafel met een blad van maar liefst 110 cm doorsnede. Het blad bestaat uit brede grenen planken op een onderconstructie van regels, en rust op drie schuin uitstaande poten die onderling verbonden zijn door een driehoekige regel. Deze constructie kennen we van de Engelse en Welshe cricket table, de eenvoudige boerentafel met drie poten die op een ongelijke vloer altijd stabiel staat. Dit exemplaar is opvallend groot.
Waarom wij dit kozen
Het blad heeft een prachtige, donkere patina met gebruikssporen van generaties. Een tafel met drie poten zit bovendien handig: niemand stoot zijn knieën tegen een tafelpoot.

Mooi als eettafel voor vier personen, als werktafel of middentafel in een landelijk, brocante of wabi-sabi interieur.

Conditie: gebruikt en stevig. Tussen de planken van het blad zijn krimpnaden ontstaan en in één plank zit een scheur in de lengte (foto 3 en 4). Het blad heeft vlekken, krassen, kleine gaatjes en afgesleten randen; de poten tonen normale ouderdomssporen.

Large round pine three-legged table in the manner of a cricket table
A generous round three-legged table with a top no less than 110 cm in diameter. The top consists of wide pine boards on a frame of battens, and rests on three splayed legs joined by a triangular stretcher. We know this construction from the English and Welsh cricket table, the simple three-legged farmhouse table that always stands steady on an uneven floor. This example is remarkably large.
Why we chose this piece
The top has a beautiful dark patina with the wear of generations. A three-legged table is also practical: nobody bumps their knees on a table leg.

Lovely as a dining table for four, a work table or centre table in a rustic, brocante or wabi-sabi interior.

Condition: used and sturdy. Shrinkage gaps have formed between the boards of the top, and one board has a lengthwise crack (photos 3 and 4). The top has stains, scratches, small holes and worn edges; the legs show normal signs of age.
