Vintage Galvanitas S16 stoel – pagholz op kompaspoten
Een losse vintage Galvanitas S16 schoolstoel van de Metaalindustrie Galvanitas uit Oosterhout. Zitting en rugleuning zijn van pagholz (gevormd beukenmultiplex) met de typische vlammende houttekening; de achterzijde van de rugleuning heeft een roodbruine tint (foto 3 en 4). Het bruin gelakte stalen kompasonderstel met de rechte rugstijlen en de zitting op een centrale drager zijn kenmerkend voor het model S16. Een klassieke industriële stoel in de geest van Jean Prouvé en Friso Kramer.

Vintage Galvanitas S16 chair – Pagholz on compass legs
A single vintage Galvanitas S16 school chair by the metal works Galvanitas of Oosterhout. Seat and backrest are made of Pagholz (moulded beech plywood) with the typical flame-like wood grain; the back of the backrest has a reddish-brown tone (photos 3 and 4). The brown-lacquered steel compass base with straight back uprights and the seat on a central support are characteristic of the S16 model. A classic industrial chair in the spirit of Jean Prouvé and Friso Kramer.
