Een vintage schoolstoel van de Nederlandse fabrikant Presikhaaf uit Arnhem. Kenmerkend zijn de sierlijk gebogen rugstijlen die in één lijn onder de zitting doorlopen, zodat de zitting als het ware ‘zweeft’, gecombineerd met taps toelopende kompaspoten met een verbindingsstang. Zitting en rugleuning zijn van pagholz (gevormd beukenmultiplex) in een warme roodbruine tint. Een elegante industriële stoel uit de bloeitijd van het Nederlandse schoolmeubel, in de geest van Jean Prouvé en Friso Kramer.
Waarom wij dit kozen
Vanwege de bijzondere, vloeiende lijn van het frame: net iets verfijnder dan de gangbare kompasstoelen. Op de achterzijde van de rug staat een gestempelde code ’60-05′ (foto 8), mogelijk een productiedatum.

Vintage Presikhaaf chair – Pagholz on compass legs
A vintage school chair by the Dutch manufacturer Presikhaaf of Arnhem. Its distinctive features are the gracefully curved back uprights that continue in one line beneath the seat, so the seat seems to ‘float’, combined with tapering compass legs with a connecting bar. Seat and backrest are made of Pagholz (moulded beech plywood) in a warm reddish-brown tone. An elegant industrial chair from the heyday of Dutch school furniture, in the spirit of Jean Prouvé and Friso Kramer.
Why we chose this piece
Because of the special, flowing line of the frame: just a little more refined than the usual compass chairs. On the back of the backrest there is a stamped code ’60-05′ (photo 8), possibly a production date.
