Een ronde poef met opbergruimte, ook wel naaipoef, naaihocker, tabouret of hocker met deksel genoemd. De poef is bekleed met gobelinstof met boeketten van rozen en acanthusranken in zachte tinten roze, beige, groen en paars, heeft een dikke rand van groen velours en rondom een lange, gedraaide franje in goudgroen. Het beklede deksel ligt los op de rand en is met een groen lipje op te tillen; daaronder zit een witte kunststof bak met een uitneembaar inzetbakje met vakjes, ideaal voor naaigerei, garen en klosjes. De poef staat op kleine houten pootjes.

Conditie: goede vintage staat met gebruikssporen. De bekleding is heel, zonder scheuren; de gobelinstof op het deksel is wat verbleekt en licht gesleten (foto 2). De groene velours rand en de franje zijn compleet. Het inzetbakje met vakjes is aanwezig en gaaf (foto 4). De bodem is goed. De witte kunststof binnenbak is iets gebobbeld (foto 5), maar nog goed bruikbaar als opbergruimte.

Vintage sewing pouf with storage – tapestry fabric and fringe, 1960s–70s
A round pouf with storage, also known as a sewing pouf, sewing stool, tabouret or storage footstool. The pouf is upholstered in tapestry fabric with bouquets of roses and acanthus scrolls in soft shades of pink, beige, green and purple, has a thick rim of green velvet and all around a long, twisted bullion fringe in golden green. The upholstered lid rests loosely on the rim and can be lifted with a green tab; underneath is a white plastic container with a removable compartment tray, ideal for sewing supplies, thread and bobbins. The pouf stands on small wooden feet.

Condition: good vintage condition with signs of use. The upholstery is whole, without tears; the tapestry fabric on the lid is somewhat faded and lightly worn (photo 2). The green velvet rim and the fringe are complete. The compartment tray is present and intact (photo 4). The base is in good order. The white plastic inner container is slightly warped (photo 5) but still perfectly usable for storage.
