Klosjesstoel met armleuningen, bobbin chair
Een sierlijke klosjesstoel met armleuningen, ook wel knobbelstoel genoemd, in het Engels een bobbin chair. Poten, sporten, spijlen en armleuningen zijn volledig opgebouwd uit gedraaide ‘klosjes’, de armleuningen eindigen in ronde knoppen. De stoel is zwart gelakt en heeft een handgevlochten biezen zitting. Gemaakt in de periode 1900–1930, in de traditie van de Hollandse en Engelse klosjesmeubelen.
Waarom wij deze stoel kozen
Het ritmische klosjeswerk in zwart tegen het naturel van de biezen is grafisch en tijdloos. Het is een stoel die zowel een klassieke als een eigentijdse ruimte direct iets speels geeft.
Stijl en interieur
Prachtig in een landelijk, Engels cottage of eclectisch interieur, als stoel aan het hoofd van de tafel, naast een kaptafel of als accent in de slaapkamer. Het zwart maakt hem ook geschikt voor een modern of industrieel interieur.

Conditie: goed en stevig. De zwarte lak is versleten op de knoppen, armleuningen en voetjes, waardoor het hout zichtbaar is. Er zit een droogtescheurtje in een van de knoppen van de armleuning. De biezen zitting is intact en stevig, met lichte verkleuring aan de voorrand.

Bobbin chair with armrests
An elegant bobbin chair with armrests, known in Dutch as a klosjesstoel or knobbelstoel. Legs, stretchers, spindles and armrests are built up entirely from turned ‘bobbins’, and the armrests end in round knobs. The chair is lacquered black and has a hand-woven rush seat. Made in the period 1900–1930, in the tradition of Dutch and English bobbin furniture.
Why we chose this chair
The rhythmic bobbin turning in black against the natural rush is graphic and timeless. It is a chair that instantly gives both a classic and a contemporary space a playful touch.

Condition: good and sturdy. The black lacquer is worn on the knobs, armrests and feet, revealing the wood. There is a small drying crack in one of the knobs of the armrest. The rush seat is intact and firm, with slight discolouration at the front edge.
