An exceptional find: a matching batch of more than 100 original Roland Rainer stacking chairs (c. 1952), designed for the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna. This iconic design embodies a streamlined, lightweight silhouette, made early use of plywood technology and was developed for flexibility and efficiency in public architecture.
The beautiful angle of back and seat is shaped specifically for bent plywood and is surprisingly comfortable. The recognisable angular wooden A-frame contrasts beautifully with the softly curved shell: a timeless combination that impresses in interiors as well as hospitality and event settings.
