Afmetingen: volgen binnenkort
Materiaal: gedraaide bananenbladvezel, kunststof binnenvoering
Stijl: natuurlijk / boho
Periode: hedendaags (21e eeuw)
Herkomst: vermoedelijk Zuidoost-Azië (Vietnam of Indonesië)
Conditie: goede staat.

English description
Banana leaf planter on a foot – woven vase with liner
A sturdy planter of woven banana leaf in an attractive, rounded cylindrical shape on a wide, round foot. The foot gives the pot something of a classic urn or temple vase, but in warm natural tones. The basket is built up from thick, twisted strands of banana leaf fibre, with natural shades from pale straw to dark brown. Inside is a black plastic liner, so you can place a (faux) plant or a large bunch of branches in it straight away.
Why we chose this piece
We chose this banana leaf vase for its unusual shape: not an ordinary basket, but a pot on a foot that gives a large plant a real stage. With a tall ornamental grass in it (photo 2) it instantly becomes a green eye-catcher.
Style and interior
Lovely in a boho, Ibiza, Japandi or country interior, next to a sofa, in the hallway or by a window. Use it as a plant basket for a houseplant or faux plant, as a floor vase for dried flowers and pampas grass, or simply as a sculptural object.
Dimensions: to follow shortly
Material: twisted banana leaf fibre, plastic liner
Style: natural / boho
Period: contemporary (21st century)
Origin: probably Southeast Asia (Vietnam or Indonesia)
Condition: good condition. The weave is sturdy and holds its shape. Here and there short ends of the leaf strands stick out (photo 5); this is part of the handwork. The colour variations in the leaf are natural. For live plants in soil we recommend using your own watertight inner pot.
