English description

Pen drawing of St George’s Church, Amersfoort – the market on the Hof, Jan Wilmink

A lively original pen drawing in black ink of St George’s Church (Sint-Joriskerk) in Amersfoort with its ornate Gothic church porch, and in front of it the market on the Hof: stalls with awnings, market traders in caps, a bicycle and a barrel. Titled in the image ‘St. The artist works with quick, loose hatching that captures the busy bustle of the market beautifully. The sheet is mounted on card with a mount border.
