Wij noemen dit inmiddels onze Erwin Olaf-bank. Deze bijzondere, drie meter lange lattenbank werd in 2014 door ons verhuurd voor een fotoshoot van Erwin Olaf. In het uiteindelijke beeld staat de bank prominent linksvoor naast een boksring.
De bank dateert uit de jaren 50 en bestaat uit lange houten latten op een stevig stalen onderstel. De oude geelbruine verf op het hout en de blauwgrijze afwerking van het frame zijn door de jaren heen sterk verweerd. Krassen, slijtage, kale plekken en meerdere oude verflagen horen bij de bank en geven hem zijn authentieke industriële uitstraling.

Een bank met een doorleefd verleden én een bijzondere geschiedenis binnen de Nederlandse fotografie.
Stijl en interieur
Door zijn lengte van maar liefst drie meter is dit een uitgesproken object voor een grote hal, winkel, horecaruimte, loft of industrieel interieur, en zeer geschikt als decorstuk voor fotografie, film, theater, evenementen en tentoonstellingen.

Our Erwin Olaf bench: industrial XXL slatted bench from the 1950s
We now call this our Erwin Olaf bench. This remarkable, three-metre-long slatted bench was hired out by us in 2014 for a photo shoot by Erwin Olaf. In the final image, the bench is prominently placed front left next to a boxing ring.
The bench dates from the 1950s and consists of long wooden slats on a sturdy steel base. The old yellow-brown paint on the wood and the blue-grey finish of the frame have weathered heavily over the years. Scratches, wear, bare patches and several old layers of paint are part of the bench and give it its authentic industrial look.

A bench with a lived-in past and a special history within Dutch photography.
