Paar rotan armstoelen met Target-rug in McGuire-stijl
Een paar rotan armstoelen met het herkenbare Target-motief in de rugleuning: een zwarte ring met een kruis van rotanstokken, op de kruispunten vastgezet met omwikkelingen van rotanschil. De ruim gebogen armleuningen lopen vanuit de rugleuning sierlijk naar voren; alle verbindingen zijn met rotanschil omwonden. Vorm, verhoudingen en details volgen exact het ontwerp van de beroemde Target-stoel van McGuire uit San Francisco (armstoel model M-59), tot en met het dichte vlechtwerk waar de armleuning de rug raakt. De stoelen dragen geen McGuire-plaatje of -label en zijn daarom omschreven als in McGuire-stijl. Op de zittingen liggen losse kussens met een aardetinten print in Afrikaanse stijl, met linten aan het frame vastgeknoopt.
Waarom wij dit kozen
De armstoelen zijn stevig en hebben een warme, honingkleurige patina. Het Target-motief geeft ze een grafische, tijdloze uitstraling, of je ze nu aan de kopse kanten van een eettafel zet of als losse stoelen gebruikt.

Mooi aan een eettafel, aan een bureau of als zitje in een serre, in een boho-, coastal– of Hollywood Regency-interieur. Met nieuwe kussens in linnen, bouclé of een gedurfde print geef je ze een eigen gezicht.

Pair of rattan armchairs with Target back in the McGuire style
A pair of rattan armchairs with the recognisable Target motif in the backrest: a black ring with a cross of rattan poles, secured at the crossings with rattan peel bindings. The generously curved armrests sweep forward gracefully from the back; all joints are wrapped in rattan peel. Shape, proportions and details follow the design of the famous McGuire Target chair from San Francisco (armchair model M-59) exactly, down to the dense weaving where the armrest meets the back. The chairs carry no McGuire plaque or label and are therefore described as in the McGuire style. The seats have loose cushions with an earth-tone print in African style, tied to the frame with ribbons.
Why we chose this piece
The armchairs are sturdy and have a warm, honey-coloured patina. The Target motif gives them a graphic, timeless look, whether placed at the ends of a dining table or used as individual chairs.
